2011 had more than its fair share of pop hits.
It would be easy to say that 2011 belonged to Adele. Her sophomore LP 21 scooped up six Grammy Awards and had five international hit singles.
But then you remember Bon Iver’s self-titled second record. And Gotye’s crossover breakthrough “Somebody That I Used to Know.” James Blake’s game-changing debut. The Civil Wars. Fleet Foxes. The War on Drugs. Foster the People.
The list goes on.
We were introduced to Warpaint, The Head and the Heart and Diego Garcia, reintroduced to TV on the Radio, My Morning Jacket and Wilco.
