1968 saw the release of some of the most important records in rock’s rich history. Here’s four of them: The Beatles’ White Album, Van Morrison’s Astral Weeks, Electric Ladyland by the Jimi Hendrix Experience, and Music From Big Pink by The Band. Those four albums alone make 1968 the greatest year in music, but the year saw other ground breaking records by Johnny Cash, The Zombies, The Kinks, Simon & Garfunkel, and let’s not forget We’re Only In it For The Money by The Mothers of Invention.
